A cupcake and a nature reserve

On Saturday we tried out a cafe that I have been wanting to go to for ages,  Sweet Bakery & Cakery, which is in a town near to us. It was super cute! Plus they had gluten free cupcakes so I was sold. We then drove around the area for a little bit just to see what it was like and on the way home stopped at Otari-Wilton’s Bush which is a nature reserve. I can’t believe that this is just a minute down the road from us and we haven’t been there before! It is so beautiful and I am excited to go for lots of evening walks there in the summer.

I am so glad I took my camera out with me. I was having a little bit of an ‘Everything’s too hard, I give up’ moment on Saturday morning (mainly because it took me three goes to get the batter right for gluten free banana pancakes) haha so I wasn’t really in the mood for taking pictures – glad I snapped out of it though!

“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” ~ Isaiah 55:12
