A big lesson Iāve been learning this year, particularly in the last few months, is to trust in God at ALL times, not just when itās easy to. When things are bad, when youāve been called to wait a long time for something, when your prayers havenāt been answered - you can trust that in every situation, God has it under control. ā£

Trust in him at ALL times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. ~ Psalm 62:8
I finally got around to writing part two of āWaiting with patienceā on my blog! The link is in my bio if you want to have a read, otherwise here is a little snippet: ā£

We need to remember that Godās timeline is different to ours. God sees beyond this current life and we should try and do that too. While it may seem like we have been waiting a really long time for something, it doesnāt take long for things to change. God can make things happen in an instant. Like my Dad said to me once, āYou never know whatās just around the cornerā, and from 1 Corinthians 15:52 we know that when Christ returns, itās only going to take the ātwinkling of an eyeā for everything to change.
If you have ever been deeply hurt by a person/people in your church, please remember these things:ā£

Itās not a church thing, itās a people thing. While we are still sinners, as much as we might try our best, thereās always going to be people hurting/offending each other no matter where you are. Work colleagues may hurt you, classmates may hurt you, family members may hurt you. That being said, thereās no excuse for being unkind to other people no matter how deeply you may have been hurt yourself. The church should be a safe place and a sanctuary. Jesusā disciples are those who love one another (John 13:35).ā£

If you have been hurt, donāt let it get in the way of your relationship with God and a future in His kingdom. Surround yourself with the people who love you and encourage you in His ways. ā£
